DEFINIZIONE
- Adj et subst. masc. Le tétramorphe désigne la représentation symbolique des quatre Evangélistes, d'après la vision d'Ezéchiel et celle de l'Apocalypse. Cette représentation est composée d'un homme ou d'un ange pour symboliser saint Mathieu, un lion pour saint Marc, un taureau ou un boeuf pour saint Luc et un aigle pour saint Jean.
