Mudejar style
DÉFINITION
- A decorative style evolved in Spain after the conquest of the peninsula from the Moors between the 13th and 15th centuries. It was created by Muslims working for Christians and also by Christians influenced by Muslim design. The name derives from an Arabic word meaning ‘allowed to remain’.
