PREFERRED TERM
Button drawloom
DEFINITION
- It refers to a loom in which loops are tied around the tail cords, and those that would be pulled to open each figure shed are knotted together. A cord tied to this knot passes through holes in another board and finish in a button that prevented the cord from slipping back through the hole. To open the each figure shed, the weaver simply pulled the buttons in the prearranged order.
