DEFINITION
  • n. It refers to a satin whose binding points are uniformly spaced. The weave unit is composed of a number of picks equal to the number of ends, of which there cannot be fewer than five. A regular satin may be defined by the number of ends in the weave unit and by the interruption, for example, 8-end satin, interruption 4.
