  • n. With previous forms as "flower-de-luce" "delyce flowre" among others, we could find the actual form from the 19th century in English from the French "fleur de lis". It is the representation of the flower of a plant of the genus Iris or the the plant itself. It is present in diverse emblems, badges, flags and symbols.
